Pottstown Encouraged Feb. 9 To ‘Rethink Homelessness’

POTTSTOWN PA – A “Rethink Homelessness” forum – intended to provide an opportunity for a discussion of homelessness, how it is defined, and how it is being addressed in the greater Pottstown area – will be held Feb. 9 (2012; Thursday) from 6-8 p.m. in the community room of Montgomery County Community College’s West campus, 101 College Dr., Pottstown PA.

Will O’Brien, special projects coordinator at Project HOME, a non-profit that provides housing and services to chronically homeless men and women in Philadelphia, will be the featured speaker. The program will also include stories from homeless individuals and volunteers, as well as educational information and a question-and-answer session.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the TriCounty Community Network (TCN). A light dinner will be offered. Registration is welcomed but not required; for more information or to register, call TCN at 610-705-3301, Ext. 2.

TCN is a non-profit organization that partners with other non-profits, businesses and community members to improve health, social and environmental conditions in western Montgomery, northern Chester and eastern Berks counties.
