DOUGLASSVILLE PA – Klein Transportation, a motor coach and tour bus company headquartered in Douglassville, will begin selling twice monthly round-trip, free-time day excursions to New York City from the Philadelphia suburbs of King of Prussia and Exton beginning Feb. 11 (2012), it announced Friday (Jan. 13).
Tickets cost $49 per person. The trips will be offered on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
Klein already provides New York City runs from Douglassville, outside Pottstown; and Shillington, a suburb of Reading. The new pick-up sites represent an expansion of that popular service, it said. Buses leave Douglassville at 6:30 a.m. and are estimated to return by 9:45 p.m.; Exton, 7:15 a.m. and 9 p.m., respectively; and King of Prussia, 7:45 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
It acknowledges that many current users of its day trips are bound for Broadway and other New York theater shows. The company also offers to act as a concierge and make theater reservations and advance ticket purchases for those seeking such help. Theater tickets are optional, non-refundable, and additional payment must be made at time of reservation.
