Visit Pottstown Woodland, Then Craft Some Critters

POTTSTOWN PA – Using natural materials such as acorns, pine cones, seeds and pods, visitors Saturday (Nov. 5, 2011) to Warwick County Park, 382 County Park Rd., Pottstown PA, can create an assortment of home grown holiday critters beginning at 2 p.m.

Park staff members will provide samples and pictures to help guide participants; they’ll have examples of reindeer and owls, for instance. But participants will be encouraged to use their imaginations to create their own designs. “Come prepared to have fun making your own woodland critters,” leaders Hilda Kauffman and Lisa Miller said.

They have a caution, though. Hot glue guns will be used during this family-oriented activity, and parents should directly supervise their children.

The park is located 3.5 miles west of the intersection of Routes 100 and 23 in the village of Knauertown, northern Chester County. Directions are available online, here.

Advance registration is requested. To register or for more information, call the park at 610-469-1916.
