PMMC Designates This Year’s Local Medical Heroes

SELECTED BY THEIR PEERS AS THE BEST – Erik Loshnowski, second from left, an emergency medical technician with Goodwill Ambulance in Pottstown PA, and Phil Childress, third from left, an EMT with Southern Berks Ambulance in Birdsboro, Douglassville and Reading PA, were presented last week (May 20, 2011) by Pottstown Memorial Medical Center with awards designating them as “Local EMS Heroes” of the year. The honors were given during a luncheon in the Chesmont Conference Center, Armand Hammer Boulevard, Pottstown, to mark National Emergency Medical Services Week, May 15-21. Both were among those nominated by their EMS peers in a three-county region. Awards were distributed by the hospital’s interim chief executive officer, Sharif Omar, left, and Dr. Richard McLaughlin, PMMC’s medical director of emergency services.
