POTTSTOWN PA – Seasonal flu vaccines will be offered free to area residents age 50 and older, and selected others, by the Montgomery County (PA) Health Department during clinics later this month and next in the Greater Pottstown area.
- These events have been added to The Post calendar.
Local clinics are scheduled for:
- Nov. 9, 9:30 until 11:30 a.m., St. Luke’s UCC Church, 200 W. Main St., Trappe PA; and
- Nov. 13, 9 a.m. till 3 p.m., Pottstown Health Center, King Street, Pottstown PA.
Residents will also be able to receive the pneumonia vaccine and the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) vaccine in the Trappe and Pottstown sites.
These specific vaccines are intended to protect against so-called regular or season flu, and not against the Novel H1N1 virus or “swine flu”, according to the department. Residents must bring a driver’s license and Medicare card, if Medicare-eligible.
